Additional Information
After leaving school he was employed as clerk and bookkeeper, and from 1881 to 1893, he was Assistant cashier in the First National Bank of LaSalle, Illinois. Gradually failing health caused him to resign his position in the bank and move to Los Angeles, California. The change, however, was made too late, as he died June 23rd, 1898.
